Leak, Marvel Rivals is going to have Valkyrie as the new hero

Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 team-based shooter game with a third-person perspective featuring heroes and villains from the Marvel universe. Developed by Marvel Games and NetEase Games, the game was released globally on December 6, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

On December 30, 2024, X/Twitter account, X0X_LEAK as the Marvel Rivals leaker revealed that Valyrie will be the next main roster. He shared information and a picture of the character Tessa Thompson played in Thor: Ragnarok. There are no details on what Valkyrie will look like in Marvel Rivals, whether she will be a Duelist, Vanguard, or Strategist, her skills, the release date, or which version of Valkyrie will be used in the game.

For the uninitiated, Valkyrie is a Marvel Comics character from Asgard who has become quite popular with fans in recent years. There have been many versions of this character, such as in 1963’s Avengers, 1966’s Thor, and the modern version in 2013’s Fearless Defender, which focuses on a team of female heroes led by Valkyrie and Misty Knight.
